March Membership Campaign

This March, we are inviting our neighbors, friends, and supporters to take the next step in preserving the historic St. Johns River Lighthouse by becoming a member of the Mayport Lighthouse Association. Our March Membership Campaign is focused on growing a strong, local network of people who care deeply about history, community, and the future of Mayport Village.

Membership is about more than financial support. It is about building a community of advocates who are invested in the next phase of work to relocate, restore, and ultimately return public access to the Lighthouse. As we move forward with the positive results of the Feasibility Study and plan for future phases, a broad and engaged membership base demonstrates that this effort is rooted in local commitment and shared stewardship.

As a special thank-you, the first 50 new members who join at the Supporter level or above will receive a limited-edition challenge coin. These coins symbolize dedication to preservation and serve as a reminder that every member plays a role in safeguarding this important landmark. Quantities are limited, and once they are gone, they are gone.

The Mayport Lighthouse Association encourages community members to support the mission in ways that fit their interests and availability:

• Become a Member during the March Membership Campaign

• Invite MLA to Speak at civic groups, neighborhood associations, schools, or other community gatherings

• Like, Follow, and Share MLA’s Facebook content to help amplify updates and educational materials

• Spread the Word by directing friends and neighbors to the MLA website to learn more.

  • The Toolkit consists of pre-written posts for social media platforms, newsletters, and an email template to share with your network. You can share them as written or edit the posts to make them your own.

Your involvement supports our mission to save and restore the 1859 St. Johns River Lighthouse and preserve the maritime heritage of Mayport Village, including the 1929 St. Johns Lightship and 1954 St. Johns Lighthouse.
