We’re excited to announce that this exclusive MLA member event will include a guided tour of the St. Johns Lighthouse, a visit to the St. Johns River Lighthouse grounds, and a social gathering at the Ocean Breeze Club on Naval Station Mayport.
Tickets go on sale Monday, November 2.
Mayport Village Waterfront Market: Third Saturdays
Mayport Village Waterfront Market is a new community-focused market in historic Mayport Village! MLA is one of the regular vendors at the Market, sharing updates on our efforts to relocate and restore the St. Johns River Lighthouse and offering merchandise for sale to support our mission.
Featured Item: MLA is one of the few local organizations that offers the beautiful new book, Mayport Memories, for sale. Published by Tamara Anne Floyd, this new edition brings her mother, Helen Cooper Floyd's, previous three works together in one beautiful hardcover volume. If you love local history, then you won't want to miss the stories and photos of the people who lived and worked in this historic fishing village.

Helen Cooper Floyd Park Cleanup

More than 40 volunteers, over 50 bags of trash, and one incredible Saturday!
Our first joint cleanup with The Veterans Phalanx at Helen Cooper Floyd Park couldn’t have gone better. Volunteers spent two hours collecting litter and removing debris from this special piece of Mayport Village. Our finds included everything from everyday trash to part of a car bumper! We're happy to support Jax Parks in keeping this beautiful spot welcoming for the community.
A big thank you to the organizations and neighbors who joined us:
🏖️ Timucuan Parks Foundation brought extra supplies and snacks to keep our volunteers equipped and fueled.
🏖️ The Daughters of the American Revolution, Jean Ribault Chapter, joined us as part of their national month of service.
🏖️ Yulee High School’s NNDCC cadets and Voices 4 Vets added helping hands and plenty of enthusiasm.
🏖️ Mayport Village residents and Mayport Waterfront Partnership leaders showed up to help care for the park. A special shout-out to Denise, who arrived early to help set up and brought cookies to share!
We’re proud to work alongside partners and neighbors who go beyond words and help us to take action 💪
